May 2026 Board Meeting Recap
May 29, 2026
We're excited to share a recap of our recent monthly Board meeting, highlighting the positive steps the Board is taking to enhance our community.
As always, we encourage you to join us at our regularly scheduled meetings, held the 3rd Friday of every month at 11:00 AM at the Canyon Falls HOA Center (6950 Canyon Falls Drive). Your input and participation truly make our community stronger.
Upcoming Road Work
The Board voted unanimously to have road maintenance done on some sections of the District. The concrete panels on Prairie Ridge need to be replaced due to deterioration. We will also begin sealing the concrete to extend the life of the roads. We will be starting with Acacia and Hawthorne as they are the oldest roads. Sealing is more budget friendly as fixing concrete panels can cost $25K+ per panel. When the sealing happens, we will need cars off the street during that time - approximately 24 hours. Once sealed, the road can be driven on approximately 2 hours after. We will give a few weeks notice to each village for the date they will be sealed. Going forward, we will seal a village a year. This work will not start until the schools within the area are out for summer break. This will prevent any disruptions to bus routes on school days. The road work is scheduled for June 1st-15th 2026.
Tax Exemptions Update
The Board voted unanimously to continue tax exemptions for residents within the District. What was chosen was a $10,000 exemption for those 65 or older OR Disabled. These exemptions will now be reflected on any new appraisal notices.
Traffic/Public Safety Update
The Board will now begin to receive monthly patrol reports from the Flower Mound Police Department. The Patrol Report for April Included:
● 1 Traffic Hazard
● 1 Alarm
● 1 Traffic Stop
