The next Directors Election for Canyon Falls will be held on May 2, 2026.

First day to file for a place on General Election Ballot: Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Last day to file for a place on General Election Ballot: Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Election Date: May 2, 2026

Requirement and Deadline for Filing Candidacy

The Application for a Place on the General Election Ballot can be obtained from the Election Agent or from the Secretary of State’s website: http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/index.shtmlhttp://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/index.shtml (Form 2-21). The Application must be completely filled out, signed and notarized, and must be timely received in the office of the Election Agent as prescribed by Section 144.005(d), Texas Election Code.

Candidates can drop off their applications at https://maps.app.goo.gl/qGwrh1Z9PLx5pi6UA100 McKinnon Street, Suite 1100. Dallas, TX 75201. There are no filing fees associated with your application.

The filing period begins January 14, 2026, and the filing deadline is February 13, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Write-In Candidate

The filing deadline for write-in candidates will be determined at a later date.

Qualification of Directors

Qualifications of office for Canyon Falls Municipal Utility District can be found in Texas Water Code § 49.052 and 54.102. Additional eligibility requirements for public office may be found in Texas Election Code §141.001, as applicable.
